Carter`s Fried Chicken in Adel

Well the gizzards weren't done an they was high as the Eiffel tower put it like this they can't compare to bits country fried Chicken in Lakeland

Food is awesome. Last food score was 100! It is a small place so only a couple of sets of people can done in at the time, but this place booms with business. People know where the foods at! If you buy the fried chicken which is kinda their thing it's pretty fast service, but ordering their seafood, etc takes a long time to get because they cook it fresh. Their chilli and slaw dogs are out of this world and the burgers ain't bad either.

Been eating there for years and the food was always on point except for tonight. My food was really salty and cooked too long. Customer service was not good either. Waited at the window for 20 minutes before anyone even said anything to me. Maybe do better next time.

Cheap food, a lot for the price. Just too greasy. Fried squash tastes like dishwashing liquid, loved the fried okra.

The best chicken in the country

As always everytime I'm in town there my first stop. Y'all owe me a fried pecan pie man. Me & the family raved about these pies but they were out! I had to let them try a couple of things from Carter's. Fried gizzards, livers, chicken wings, ogra & of course the pork chop sandwich.

Great and speedy service. Never a disappoinment when we go there. Drove 20 miles just to get their excellent food.

The chicken was over cooked and dry. They put the very hot chicken on top of my box of fries making them all mush from the heat.

Country fried chicken place. Ordered BBQ sandwich. It was a pulled pork sandwich with the sauce squirted on. The onion rings were crispy if not just a little greasy. Ok. Not great. Not bad.

The BEST food in Adel, definitely worth the wait. Always hot and fresh, recommends to anyone

We each had the $5.00 lunch special. I had the steak sandwich. Yummy. Also a order of fried green tomatoes.

If fried was a food group then this place would be recommend by the USDA. They serve large servings of good fish, chicken, coleslaw, and friendliness. Skip the KFC folks and try out this joint.

This is a good place to get fried chicken, fish and chicken livers. I drive 20 miles to get it because the competition has gotten too greasy. You know the one named after the state above Tennessee. Wish they had a place closer.

On Thursday I bought a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. I ate only 3 fries because they tasted like old grease and were barely warm. Then about 2 am I woke up with severe cramps in my lower stomach, sat on toilet for about 15 mins agonizing in pain, sweating profusely and felt like I was going to pass out. Finally made it to bed,then all day friday severe pain shooting thru my lower gut. I have eaten there many times but I wont go back after this. I do not get sick and this made me feel like I was about to die. They really need to change that grease every 2-3 days so no one else ends up like this. Its 8 pm and still pain. I travel all the way from Atlanta just to come grab their chicken or liver. Amazing, I have not found another restaurant like them at all. I do wishthe building was a bit bigger but hey it's probably in their budget. Only thing I saw was that the cooks had long beards which were not covered. Plus the long hair not tucked in a hair net. If they can fix this then they will definitely get. 5 star review. Just need to be a little more presentable if customers can see you from the front

Livers were so hard you could not chew them. Steak sandwich was really salty. I did take it back and then I was very pleased with the replacement.

First off the cashier I'm assuming was new said it was going to be a 15 minute wait on the chicken okay no problem but that turned into a 40 minute wait the employees all had attitudes. This place was highly recommended but I will never go back food was bland and not worth the WAIT!

I know that Carters is famous for their chicken but don't over look the catfish dinner. As good as T's in Augusta. Call ahead to avoid wait. Yum yum and lip snaking good.

The food is good. But the service is awful from some employees, especially on the phone, they hang before you can finish your order, They have an attitude. I'm not saying you have to be overly polite but when working with the public you should have some kind of customer service skills, Just think if it was you on the other side. Would you like the attitude and rudeness, you show towards me and others?

Best fried chicken! Great sides and pefect sweet tea.....what's not to like about that?!? Seasoned staff turn in around.....regulars know they are going to get a perfectly cooked meal so the place always has a line at counter or drive thru. Not many tables to dine in so most take out. Great southern fried foods and other classic southern dishes. We always get fried chicken unless it's Friday and get fried fish.

Carter's is the best chicken around. I would put them up against any name brand restaurant that serves chicken. Check them out. They will make you a believer and great taste.
